It's very unusual to see people of color listed in court documents and even more unusual to see addresses. Maybe this info can assist historians in their family research.
Found supoenas for personal injury witnesses, Jake Evans, Washington Sims, Dan Thomas, Charles Percy, all "colored". Their address listed as "found on the levee" c/o Norville & Chambers.
