Admiralty Case # 1162 Mobile, Alabama 1907
Southern Pacific Steam Ship Co. et. al. vs Steamer "Fort Morgan"
This was the first time I saw mention of a female crew member.
Pauline Ellerman was a claimant for unpaid wages. As a ship stewardess, between New Orleans, Louisiana and Havana, Cuba
her pay was listed as $20.00 a month.
[The steward was paid $60.00 a month.]
Welcome. I want to share with you amusing antidotes and info found while processing records as a volunteer at National Archives Records Administration in Atlanta. Also stuff I found while researching my Root-Carpenter-Runk-Patton ancestry. This blog is for you, help me make it successful. What do you want to see here? What did you enjoy or not. Enjoy. Vicki
